This is a ripe, oaky wine from Waipara, just north of Christchurch on New Zealand's South Island. Pineapple, mango and honey characters dominate on the nose. The palate is rich and on the flabby side, the oak overpowering much of the fruit, but those who like their powerfully oaked whites will dig this version.
