With 18 months spent in oak, the wood influence is certainly apparent, but it's balanced by the deep black plum and cherry notes. The mouthfeel is lush but lifted, with dense black-fruit flavors on the palate that persist through the close. Vanilla and sweet smoke flavors lend a decadent feel to the finish.
