Although this wine starts off a bit stern in texture, by the long finish those tannins have turned velvety and plush, nicely framing intense black olive, espresso, cherry and plum flavors. Drink now–2018. || Despite incredible levels of ripeness—evidenced by notes of chocolate and dried fruit—this wine features a bit of garrigue on the nose and licorice flavors on the palate, which together impart a sense of freshness.
