A spicy sort of red, with earth, leather and forest aromas. Cassis, cherry and chocolate make for a tasty palate, although there's a bit of outsized tannin, oak and heat. Sturdy, medium in terms of lushness, and broad. || Leafy red fruit, candied licorice and a touch of toast add up to the bare basics on the nose. Tangy and short in the mouth, with a bit too much acidity resulting in a scratchy mouthfeel. Cherry and red raspberry are the dominant flavors. Imported by 31 Degrees South Imports.
