Overripe, this seems like an oddly structured wine. The fruit is buried under the wood influence and tannins, which introduce a licorice character. || This shows the problems of overripe fruit that plagued many 2009s. It is soft, giving the impression of sweetness, with the structure vastly understated. Juicy and fruity, this is ready to drink now.
