This is a lovely, age-worthy wine that sings in earthy tobacco, black pepper and leather before revealing balanced acidity and a light background of its 20 months in French oak, 40% of it new. Made by Gary Brookman, it finishes awash in cherry and chocolate. Drink now through 2022.
