The name refers to a French 8-line poetry format. Here are very pretty aromas, creating an elegant expression of Cabernet, approachable but not too light. The tannins are nicely rounded, the fruit retains its primary berry and cassis flavors, and wraps in a little bit of black olive also. || Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot comprise this blend. Berry flavors dominate, with a noticeable streak of smoke and ash running down the spine. It's a sound and solid effort, though the finish lacks a bit of lift.…
