This opens with earthy aromas of tilled soil, game, violet, ripe dark-skinned fruit and mint. The juicy, delicious palate offers fleshy black cherry, cinnamon, chopped herb and a hint of anise alongside chewy tannins. It's already approachable but will offer fine drinking over the next several years.
