This high-priced 2003 parcel-based Tempranillo hits with funky citrus peel and wet clay aromas, which are followed by cherry and savory, almost stewy berry flavors. The heat of 2003 is evidenced on the soft, hollow finish. It's a very good wine with character and typicity—but for $225?
