Not quite up there with the wonderful 2003, probably due to the hot vintage, which made it a little soft and overripe, but it's a very good wine. Shows black currant, mu shu plum sauce, baker's chocolate, leather, clove and pepper flavors, wrapped into firm tannins. At its best now and for a year or two.
