The nose is standard fare as it offers cherry, plum and a hint of herbaceousness. Good plum and berry fruit carries the mouth, while the finish is round and smooth. The wine is balanced and entirely satisfying even if it is basic in its intent. As per usual, Calina delivers a good wine for the price. -M.S.
