This uncommon Alsatian variety shares the same parentage as Chardonnay, which is a crossing of Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc. Much like its Burgundian sibling, this grape seems to perform well in oak. This example is steely and citrus driven, with milky white-flower tones. Having spent one year in neutral French oak, the palate is broad and rich, yet impeccably balanced by crisp acidity.
