Smells great, with rose petals and lychees leading the way, then blends in some aromas reminiscent of Earl Grey tea (bergamot). Doesn't quite live up to expectations on the palate, where it could use more weight and a plusher texture, but the flavors sure are nice. || Based on a number of the wines, Gisborne's climate seems well-suited to Gewürz, in this case producing a rich, deep bottling that may not be as flamboyant as some but still displays textured flavors of pear, rose petal and spice without any bitterness…
