The Val di Cornia Suvereto appellation may not be recognized much abroad (or even in Italy), but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese is rich, soft, and medium in intensity, and it offers great balance between the red fruit and dark spice components.
