A little on the soft, one-dimensional side, but very drinkable, with jammy flavors of cherries, blackberries, blueberries and spices, and the leathery, roasted meat taste you sometimes find in Syrah. The gritty tannins will cut through roasts. || Will have its fans, but for this reviewer, too high in alcohol, with 15.9%, and too soft in acidity. That makes the intensely ripe cherry, raspberry and blackberry flavors syrupy. Seems more like something you'd pour over pound cake than a table wine.
