While this Chardonnay was aged in only 17% new French oak barrels, the oak really dominates, bearing aromas and flavors of buttered toast and butterscotch. Underneath that veneer is a tart wine with fine flavors of pineapples, oranges and pears, plus beautiful acidity and a clean, minerally finish.
