This spent 24 months in 500-liter American oak puncheons, blended with 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Syrah. It is really showing the barrel influence, even after several hours of breathing time. The fruit is ripe strawberry, with fresh herbs, green olive and hints of tomato leaf. Good acidity suggests further bottle age would only improve this wine.
