Progressive wineries like Emiliana enjoy experimenting, yet not all new wines are successful. A case in point: this sweet, warm, mushy Gewürztraminer from the Cachapoal Valley. Compared to global benchmarks, this is clumsy and sweet, with mealy apple and peach flavors. And it finishes candied and fat. Too much of a stretch, with no staying power.
