There's a wild quality to the fruit, as if the blackberries and cherries were picked in some sunny hollow in a eucalyptus forest. The wine is streamlined and intense, with focused, chiseled tannins. Showing superb balance and an unerring sense of control, it should develop in the bottle over the next 8–10 years.
