You don't have to peek at the label to know this is a high-alcohol wine. The 16.6% burns the palate. It's also deficient in acidity, so while the cassis and chocolate flavors are fine, it's unbalanced. || Soft, and rich with glycerine and alcohol, this Zin is almost a Port wine on the palate. Drunk on its own, it's simple and awkward, but paté is kind to it. || You'll find some mint and vegetal aromas and flavors side-by-side with intense, sugary sweet blackberry jam ones in this Zin. It's unbalanced to that degree…
