Dark purple, with mixed aromas of juicy plum, sawdust and clove that pick up hints of beet. A heavy hitter, the 15% alcohol is not apparent except in the big feel, matched by dry, rough tannins and a hint of sweetness. Dark berry fruit and beet flavors coat the mouth, and the wine finishes with a medicinal feel. || This wine has rhubarb and cranberry aromas marred by pickle juice. In the mouth it's better, with dark, extracted flavors of cranberry and oak spice. Finishes hot and tannic.
