Canard-Duchêne NV Charles VII La Grande Cuvée Blanc de Noirs Brut (Champagne

Labeled as a blanc de noirs, this is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. It has the weight and richness you would expect from a Champagne made only from red grapes, textured and full of rich apple and pear fruits. The bottling is ready to drink. || Named after the King of France crowned in 1429 by Joan of Arc in Reims cathedral, this is the counterpart of the Blanc de Blancs. It's a rich wine, soft with ripe quince and yellow plum fruits. Acidity balances with the rounded, fruity aftertaste.
