Aromas of ripe black fruit, underbrush, mushroom and forest floor come with a whiff of leather. The palate opens with ripe—almost sugary tasting—black cherry accented with white pepper, cinnamon and Mediterranean herbs alongside firm but fleeting tannins and soft acidity.
