This blend of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah is stellar given that 2011 was a cool year. Earthy aromas of wet clay, violet, blackberry and fresh herbs set up a balanced, ripe palate with flavors of plum, berry, mocha and vanilla. On the finish, tobacco, herbs, spice and vanilla flavors are textbook for the Alto Maipo, where this wine comes from. Drink through 2018.
