The Daou brothers' heady blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon is very dark in the glass, offering blueberry, espresso, cream and dark chocolate ganache on the lush nose. Blackberry jam, tobacco, pencil lead and oregano show on the palate, where firm structure and juicy acidity leaves the mouth uplifted.
