Winemaker Jules Taylor is crafting a series of bold, expressive wines, including this one. It starts off a little shaky, offering hints of soap and cruciferous vegetables, but settles down to deliver black cherry fruit and hints of beets and parsnip. It's got a creamy midpalate, then finishes with sterner tannins than most Marlborough Pinots. Drink now–2017.
