The ninth edition of Contadino (the fruit is from the 2011 harvest) is made from a wild blend of Nerello Mascalese (70%), Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante Boushet, Uva Francesca, Minella Nera, Minella Bianca and Insolia. The wine shows an amazingly spicy quality that awakens the palate with a sudden jolt, followed by dried fruit, black ash and dried herb notes. The intensity is remarkable.
