This Monastrell-led blend opens with a smoky blast of toasty oak on top of forest floor and herbal tones. The palate feels massive and extracted, showing ripe cassis and blackberry. Chocolate, herb, toast, berry and black currant flavors ride through the ripe finish. Drink through 2017.
