This opens with a classic Rioja nose of leather, dried cheese, roast berry and spice. It feels chunky and quite solid, with roasted fruit, tomato and herbal flavors on a deep palate. This is long and a touch warm on the finish, but healthy and ready to drink. || Hailing from the very hot 2003 vintage, this wine is baked and full, with mature yet rich aromas.
