Heat and a touch of volatility are factors on an herbal, oaky nose that sees black-fruit aromas turn to road tar. A saturated, flush palate is braced by rock-hard tannins. Herbal plum and oak spice flavors finish dry, peppery and hot. After a number of years in bottle, this is still closed and hard.
