As sugary as jelly, and with a harsh cut of acidity, it tastes like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce. || Harsh in the mouth, with a jagged feeling. Hot, too, from high alcohol that gives it a chile pepper sting. There's no problem with ripeness, but the wine ultimately is rustic and sweet.
