A little rustic and rough in texture, but otherwise this is a nice, dry wine. It's also pretty fierce in tannins, but offers polished blackberry, cured-meat, pepper and cedar flavors. Could gain in the bottle over the next 4–5 years. || Round, soft and approachable now in the California style, with ripe cherry, licorice, mocha and brown sugar flavors that last long, with a spicy finish.
