Ripe and velvety, this opens with classic varietal scents of crushed violet, black-skinned berry, baking spice and a whiff of leather. The juicy, delicious palate doles out fleshy wild cherry, black raspberry, cinnamon and licorice while firm, refined tannins proved support. It's an impressive effort for this hot vintage.
