There is a strong layer of new wood here, serving to give structure to the rich berry fruits. Plum juice and black coffee round out the dryness, but the texture is still young, needing four years aging. || Showing the freshness of the year as much as the structure, this is a ripe wine that's full of fragrant black currants and some tight acidity.
