Dense elderberry, charcoal and cracked-black-pepper aromas are lifted by lavender on the nose of this Syrah from a very coastal vineyard near Watsonville. Peppery spice and dried purple flowers make for an intense combo on the palate, where the structure is firm yet the body is relatively light and airy.
