Aromas of exotic spice, forest floor and a balsamic note emerge in the glass while the full-bodied palate doles out ripe red cherry, cranberry, licorice and clove. Assertive, rather grainy tannins and bright acidity provide support. It's still rather austere so give the tannins a few more years to unwind. Drink 2020–2025.
