This Brunello is definitely on the ripe side with meaty aromas of smoked bacon, bresaola, Indian spice, smoke and crushed black pepper. Fruit notes are few and far between and include dried currants and prunes. Despite the wine's chewy boldness, it does offer a much needed blast of tonic freshness on the finish.
