There's a core of pear and melon fruit, which lends the wine its delicate aromatics and flavors. Toasted nut and smooth river rocks offer flavor and textural nuances on the palate, and through the persistent finish. Pretty, balanced and very food-friendly. || Because of the extreme heat of 2008, this wine does show a touch of warmth on the finish and should probably be consumed young, but there's no crime in that.
