There's a toughness to this wine that makes it hard to appreciate now, but it will soften with some time in the cellar. Dry, silky and tannic, it features an enormous black-cherry flavor, with considerable oak overtones. It is an altogether impressive wine. Given its fine structure, it should develop over the next 6–8 years.
