This wine is 50% Syrah, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 2% Malbec. The aromas pop, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, smoked meat and herb. The fruit flavors are lush, backed by tannins that bring quite a bit of grit to them. Perhaps some additional time in the bottle will soften them out.
