A very beautiful Syrah, long and deep in flavor. It's a big, mouth filling wine whose tannins are considerable, and it will probably benefit from a year or two in the cellar. But it's so rich in blackberries, black currants and smoked meat that it's hard not to open it now. As sweet as the fruit is, the finish is thoroughly dry.
