A bit tough and tannic, but noble enough in structure, this Mendocino mountain Syrah has bold plum, blackberry, mocha and herb flavors, and is very dry. It scores high on the deliciousness factor, and is at its best now and for a year or two. || Re-released at nearly six years of age. One sniff is all you need to know there's a lot of new, toasted oak here. It's a big, dark, extracted wine, and also a very tannic one, with a deep core of ripe blackberry and blueberry flavors.
