One of better deals for Pinot Noir anywhere, this bottling by Alison Crowe shows cinnamon, star anise, ripe red cherry, turned earth and wet slate on the easy-to-like nose. The palate packs more cherries with ripe strawberries, tart plum skins, orange-juice tang and a lingering clove-spice character.
