BJ Fazeli's blend of 30% Shiraz (the spelling is a nod to his Persian roots), 30% Petite Sirah, 26% Merlot and 14% Zinfandel offers deep blackberry, black pepper, dried purple flowers and a pinch of herbs on the nose. The black fruit of the palate is spiced heavily with cardamom and clove. The rising acidity and firm structure show most on the finish.
