Brisk and lively, this wine is a bit shy on the nose at first, then reveals red and purple flowers, dark fruit, brown spice and a touch of shattered asphalt. The palate is quite tarry despite being lighter, with blackberry-juice flavor and lots of acidic pizzaz.
