This opens pleasantly, with black cherry, cola and toast components all nicely balanced. It continues through a medium body with medium length; then a Bourbon barrel note takes over the finish. || Delicious, first class and possibly ageable. It's rich in blackberry pie filling, crême de cassis and sweet oak flavors, with a firm minerality that adds structural integrity. Sweet and ripe, but elegant.
