Sometimes all that's required is a full-bodied, supple red to pair with dinner. And sometimes, the bottle exceeds expectations, like this one. Blackberry, cassis and hints of brown sugar and vanilla avoid getting too confectionary, framed by crisp acids and fine tannins on the finish. Drink now–2020.
