Asian pear, but also dairy-like notes of cheese, sour cream and show on the nose. The mouthfeel is a bit heavy. Apple and woody flavors show on the palate; dry wood and spice mark the back end. A good wine, but now reading ponderously—perhaps past its prime. || Surprisingly weedy and thin for this vineyard, but Bernardus has struggled with this bottling over the years.
