Dark as night and full of black fruit aromas, this old-vines newbie is rocking it. The nose is packed with jammy blackberry, leather and fine spice aromas, and the palate is pillowy despite big tannins. Smoky, swarthy flavors of blackberry, cassis and stewed black cherry roll, and it's chewy, creamy and chocolaty on the finish. Expensive but a high-quality contender.
