Tight, crisp, peppery aromas offset fruitier scents of cassis and plum. This feels focused and not too big or beefy. Flavors of toasty, rooty berry fruits and spice finish with oak, spice and ultimately a dosage of heat. || This is a severely oaked wine that sizzles and smokes with aromas of campfire, creosote, road tar and coconut. On the palate, it's concentrated but also brutish. Roasted oaky black-fruit flavors echo the nose, while mint and chocolate dominate the finish. Time can only help this come around. || …
